Chittorgarh Fort

Where the Hindu rulers fought fiercely to maintain their independence

Regarded as the symbol of Rajput chivalry, resistance and bravery, the Chittorgarh fort is situated on a 180 meter high hill and is one of the largest forts in India. The fort houses many palaces, Jain temples and other buildings constructed in the Rajput architectural style of that time. Along with the other hill forts of Rajasthan, the Chittorgarh Fort was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013.
