Mount of the Arts

The area of the Mont des Arts used to be a densely populated neighbourhood before King Leopold II had to idea to convert the entire neighbourhood into an arts' quarter at the end of the 19th century. Today, the Mont des Arts is an urban complex and historic site in the centre of Brussels, Belgium which includes the Royal Library of Belgium, the National Archives of Belgium, the Square – Brussels Meeting Centre, and a public garden.
