Spoleto, Italy

An ancient city in the Italian province of Perugia

Surrounded by hills, olive groves and vineyards, Spoleto has long since occupied a strategic geographical position starting with the original Umbri tribes who built walls around their settlement in the 5th century BC, some of which are visible today. The Point dell Torri (Tower Bridge) of Spoleto is a huge ten-arcade work built on the remains of a Roman aqueduct and features a panoramic view over one of the greenest and purest areas within the region.
